Tunkillia North Gold Project
An untested gold corridor in the Gawler Craton
Auravelle’s 100%-owned Tunkillia North Gold Project sits at the northern end of the Yarlbrinda Shear Zone – a crustal-scale structure that already hosts a multiple million-ounce gold deposit, including Barton Gold’s 1.6Moz Tunkillia Project immediately to the south.
At Tunkillia North, a 5km x 5km gold-in-calcrete anomaly has been identified that shows a similar signature to the anomaly that led to Barton’s Tunkillia discovery.
Auravelle is moving fast, with regular sampling and drilling programs underway to identify high- quality gold deposits.
Project Details
- Located 20km west of Lake Everard and ~560km north-west of Adelaide in South Australia.
- Comprises one granted exploration licence (EL 6493) and covers an area of 119km2 in South Australia’s central Gawler Craton.
- Lies adjacent to the north of Barton Gold’s Tunkillia Gold Project, which hosts a number of gold deposits with a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 1.612Moz Au (62.9Mt at 0.8g/t Au) and 3.07Moz Ag (34.5Mt at 2.8g/t Ag) – refer ASX: BGD, 30/6/25.
- Located along the Yarlbrinda Shear Zone, a crustal-scale deformation zone within the Gawler Craton which also hosts the Tunkillia deposits.
- Hosts a 5km x 5km gold-in-calcrete geochemical anomaly, which is very similar to the anomaly that led to Barton Gold’s Tunkillia discovery.
